Very Unusual Straw Stuffed Rabbit Toy
Timmy is a wonderful very large unjointed vintage rabbit toy dating from around 1930 - 1940. He has a cloth body and head, with art silk fur arms and legs. The inside of his ears are felt, the outer ears would have been the same art silk fur as his arms and legs, but has worn away over the years. The inner wire structure inside his ears has shifted a little in one ear. He has clear and red glass eyes. He is in overall good condition for his age, there is some slight discolouration on some areas of his body, but nothing that really detracts from his charm. I was told by the original owner that he was a shop display rabbit originally, but I can't confirm it. His size would suggest this could be a possibility though. He measures about 23 inches tall, and would look impressive in a collection of toy rabbits.
