Sruff is a poorly 1930s English bear who arrived with his friend Wobble-Headed William (for sale separately).
He is fully jointed but his head has been sewn on which means it probably needs rejointing. He has about 30-40% mohair coverage with some bald areas, which are mainly to his tummy and inner and partially back of his legs. He has a sewing repair down his front seam and another descending from the joint area on his inner leg. There is some fabric discolouration on this leg. The mohair coverage on his head is reasonably good.
Scruff's body is kapok stuffed and his head is wood wool stuffed. He has his original features including clear glass eyes with spots of the enamel at the back remaining. One ear needs partially reattaching. His paw pads have surface wear, but are all intact.
Scruff would make a nice restoration project for someone and I'm sure would 'scrub up' quite well. He measures about 21 inches tall including ears.
Wobble headed William is a 1940s Chiltern who has been very well played with in the past. His mohair is sparse, particularly on his head, which is extremely wobbly - hence his name. As you can see the connecting pin, a new owner may want to rejoint the head to ensure it remains attached to the body , or leave it as it is if you don't mind the floppiness.
There is also a small relatively discreet sewing repair on the underside seam of his arm. William has his original features, rexine pads with surface wear (minus a few claws) and measures about 17inches.
